January 2018, this week the Thomas Bennett Langton Fund presented a cheque to Vine Lodge 7612 in Basingstoke for £300. A representative of the fund Gifton Bailey (left) presented the cheque to David Green (right), Worshipful Master of the Vine Lodge.
The money is going to go to the Tadley and District Community Association and match funds a further £300 raised by the members of Vine Lodge. The total of £600 is going to be used to support the charity's activities. You can find out more about the Association here.
The Tom Langton Fund was founded in 1985 by the then Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Thomas Bennett Langton, which accounts for its alternative title of “The Tom Langton Fund.” It was established to create contacts between Lodges in the Province and the general public, by supporting local, non-Masonic causes not covered by other Masonic Charities. You can find more information on the fund here.
